Borderline, re-issued in January 1986, coming after the sucess of the singles from the 'Like A Virgin' album, dipping into her back catalogue to give this timeless classic another chance. The chance payed off and gave Madonna a no.2 hit record, making this her 10th top 10 hit.

This release saw the end to Madonna's debut and sophomore long-playing records, with the new year of 1986 already upon us Madonna was about to change.
